1. PROCESSOR

The processor is the brain of the computer. It is the part which responds to your commands when you tell your computer to perform a particular task. There are different processors available in the market. The two primary manufacturers of computer microprocessors are Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) who lead the market in terms of speed and quality.

Each processor has a clock speed which is measured in gigahertz (GHz). Also, a processor has a front side bus which connects it with the system's random access memory (RAM.)
You can also get a dedicated graphics card for both processors, with is used to handle image and graphic quality for games, Film/Video making and graphic designing.

Intel's entry-level Core i3 chips are the cheapest but least powerful processors available. If you're looking for a sub-$500 computer that will do basic computing tasks, then the Core i3 line should be good enough. So for low-end computers which involves simple tasks to  do i3 is very recommended one.
i5, i7 cores are faster and used for high end Pc devices. The high-end computers are used by Film makers, Gamer, Product designers, etc.

AMD produce great APUs, or accelerated processing units. They combine a fast processor with a graphics card in one powerful chip, so you get awesome graphics on games and movies plus a fast experience when you’re switching between applications.

I personally, right now using an Intel i3 core processor for my computer. I use my computer for blogging and other simple office stuff.
So it is your choice to choose which processor depending upon your need and price.

2. RAM (Random Access Memory)

RAM is a small chip and it stands for Random Access Memory, and it’s where requests made by you are stored before the processor is ready to start working on them. RAM is where active data from your applications and system processes are stored.

RAM (Random Access Memory)

The more RAM you have, the more you can do at the same time, such as playing music while switching between an Excel file and the Internet. Thus multi tasking purposes of open screens can be achieved by RAM.
There are 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB.....

How Much RAM Do I Need for my PC?

SO how much RAM do you need?

The need of the RAM mainly depends upon what type of work you do in your computer for instance Browsing the web Updating social media, Watching video clips writing essays Creating spreadsheets, Working on presentations and for other office work RAM under 4 GB  is sufficient.

For Streaming HD films, Photo editing, Music production, Gaming, Graphic designing, CAD designing, RAM more than 4 GB i.e. 6 GB and above are recommended.

3. STORAGE

Storage is a space in your computer where you save your personal data like Music, Photos, Videos, Documents, Apps, Software.
There are three types of storage available for your desktop
  • Hard disk drive
  • solid state drive
  • solid state hybrid drive
Hard disk drive is used for most of the computers and comes with the storage ranging from 500 GB to 3 TB. The amount of storage depends how much files that you are going to store. for a low-end computer 1TB is good choice. You can also upgrade it later for more disk space.
Solid state drive does not store much data as compared to hard disks but they are lot faster than Hard disks and they are expensive too.
A solid-state hybrid drive gives you the memory capacity of an HDD with the smooth, fast performance of an SSD. An SSHD can loosely be described as ‘smart’ memory, as it learns which content you access most and stores it ready for you, offering instant access and a more responsive feel.

4. OPERATING SYSTEM

OPERATING SYSTEM windows or Mac?

Operating system is a program which acts as a medium between computer and operator and is essentially what you see when you turn on your computer
Operating systems available are Windows or OSx.
Windows is the most widely used operating system. It is very simple, friendly interface for users. If you are a Gamer and reading this article then you should probably opt for Windows operating system because most of games are designed to work on windows.

OS X is Apple’s much-loved operating system. It is available exclusively on iMac, Mac Pro and Mac mini desktops, along with the MacBook laptop series.
It features a bright, stylized desktop which provides ease-of-use and security, making it the preferred choice of professionals in creative industries, and casual home users that prefer a simpler, more intuitive layout. It is well optimized, works best with apple.
This operating system is good for professional film makers editors.

5. RESOLUTION/WINDOW SIZE

The screen size and the resolution for your computer totally depends on the type of work. for eexample if you watch lot of HD movies then you must prefer full HD  which gives you more detailed visuals than the normal HD screen.
The size of the screens comes within the range of compact 19” to a huge 34.
It is recommended to take a medium or large screen.
